Qualification: Candidates should possess full time Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Technology/ AMIE in relevant discipline with not less than 65% marks, taking average of all the years, irrespective of the weightage given to any particular year by the Institute/ University. Final year/semester students are also eligible however they have to obtain at least 65% marks in their Engineering Degree.

Age Limit: Candidates upper age limit should not exceed 27 years as on 18-01-2014.

Selection Process: Candidates would be short-listed category-wise for Group Discussion & Personal Interview based on their marks obtained in Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE)-2014.

Registration Fee: Candidates have to pay the registration fee of Rs.150/- for General/OBC category and no fee for SC / ST / PWD category candidates. The fee should be deposited at State Bank of India in a specially opened account (No. 30987919993) at CAG branch, New Delhi, on behalf of NTPC.

How to Apply: Eligible candidates should register themselves through the website www.gate.iitkgp.ac.in/gate2014 from 02-09-2013 to 01-10-2013 and appear for GATE-2014. After applying online candidates will receive GATE-2014 Registration Number printed on their admit card. On receipt of GATE registration number, the candidates need to apply On-line for NTPC ET-2014 on the website www.ntpccareers.net from 20-12-2013 to 18-01-2014.

Commencement of Online application for GATE-2014: 02-09-2013 (Monday)
Last date of online application for GATE-2014: 01-10-2013 (Tuesday)
Commencement of Online Registration of application by candidates in NTPC: 20-12-2013 (Friday) 1300 Hours
Last date for online registration of application by candidates in NTPC: 18-01-2014 (Saturday) Midnight.
